3D3 Solutions Scanned Over 600 Faces in 3D at Siggraph 2011

3D3 Solutions exhibited at Siggraph 2011 in early August. Attendees who came by our booth got their face scanned in 3D. We are very happy to report that over 600 attendees came to our booth to get a 3D face scan!

We featured the HDI Advance R2 3D Scanner in our booth. Our 3D scanning technology is a fantastic solution for 3D modelers and visual effects studios that are looking to accelerate their content creation pipeline. Our 3D scanners can create accurate 3D scans from real world objects in under two seconds.

Video: Improving the Efficiency of the Inspection Process

3D3 Solutions and Geomagic performed a demonstration on ways to optimize your inspection process from the show floor of the Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference (CMSC). Rotary Table System: 3D Scanning with Automatic Merging and Alignment

For FlexScan3D users who are looking for an easier and faster way to process 3D scanner data, the rotary table system supports the process of performing multiple scans of an object and then automatically merge and align the scan data into a 3D model.

Tune Calibration

We recently released a new patch of FlexScan3D that includes a new feature called Tune Calibration. This feature allows you to fine tune your existing calibration in order to scan objects more accurately. This process involves scanning a calibration artifact of known dimension such as a ball bar. Internally FlexScan3D will adjust the calibration to much more closely match measurements of the object. Please click on the video below for a preview of this feature:
