Automated Inspection Using Structured Light Scanning

Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology's (CCAT) automated quality inspection system was designed to increase the speed at which manufactured parts are inspected, while being easy to use and cost-effective. The software, SLS Control, uses 3D3 Solutions structured light scanning algorithms along with CCAT's motion control and automation software that links to Geomagic Qualify. Simply click a button to automatically scan the part and output a full 3D quality inspection report, or a 2D report in any standard inspection template. The system can be used as a general scanner for digitizing objects automatically.
